I am a costume designer, performer and robot mum, working mainly within performing arts. Coming from practical backgrounds of costume design and physical computing, I started to connect the two recently. My practice is orbiting around experiments between costume, e-textiles, wearable objects and robotics, allowing me to dive deeper into digital arts and object centered theatre. Theatre formed my collaborative and participatory approach, as I longed for another version of theatre production, that takes into account fair working conditions and respectful interpersonal relationships. I connect with a queerfeminist approach to technology; to shared artistic practices that are not possessed and outcomes that can be used, touched, multiplied and distributed. I investigate these approaches sensually: via touching, hearing, feeling, smelling, ... I think, craft, dream and chit-chat about sci-fi, feel-fi and touch-fi. In my work I am searching for places where the overcoming of dynamics and systems of power can be imagined and staged, telling fantastic stories of chaotic-robotic futures.
